PAGE FAULT – Microsoft Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10

Stop Error – STOP 0x00000050 or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

A hardware driver or system service requested data that was not in memory. It may be related to defective physical memory or incompatible software, especially remote control and antivirus programs.

Boot into Safe Mode

Remove the latest driver from Device Manager or software and AntiVirus you previously installed. Then Reboot.

If you haven’t recently install any Software or AntiVirus then continue with the steps below

Boot into Safe Mode

Go to Control Panel > Windows Memory Diagnostic or type mdsched.exe into the Start Menu/Cortana search.

Boot and let Memory Diagnostic Run.

For PCs with dual-channel RAM or multiple sticks of RAM

Shut your PC off, On Some PC’s the power supply will include an Analogue switch verify it is in the 0 for OFF Position before disconnecting power cable to the supply

Disconnect the 12V power cable to your Power Supply

Remove a single stick of RAM and Power On your PC

If you have the same Stop Error shut your PC down and try replacing the next stick of RAM with the previous stick

Repeat Sequence as needed until you stop receiving the stop error or have tested all the sticks of RAM

You can test your motherboard by removing ALL of the RAM and powering it on you should immediately be prompted with beep codes. You can check from a list of manufacturer beep codes here if you receive none the pathways on the motherboard are most likely damaged.
